Announcing Punx! The 2014 Lawn Game Olympics Mascot

Congratulations Punx and his creator Alyssa Huth.  Punx will be making an appearance at this years Lawn Game Olympics!
Punx

Punx is a ripped and harry hunk (like your fine harry self). Punx enjoys scaring squirrels and squishing the pancakes that the squirrels eat. His body casts a shadow of the Olympic rings (Anatomically speaking, this makes no sense). Punx has trained long and hard (that's what she said) for the Lawn Game Olympics in his underground lair. He became chiseled (without the use of 'roids) and even grew out his chest hair to scare his competition (Also, much like yourself). Punx refuses to take anything but gold! He burrowed his way to Smokin Tatooz in Kent to get a gold medal etched into his arm (I know you want one now). Punx would love to be thmascot for the Lawn Game Olympics as he feels that he is an inspiration to all the hairy chested underdogs! (Psst...That's you.)

Vote for the 2014 Lawn Game Olympics Mascot!

Below is the list of candidates for the 2014 Lawn Game Olympics. Make sure to place your vote in the poll at the bottom of the page.

Mr. Maurice
This is Mr. Maurice. He is a groundhog who wears a red hat, reminiscent of the 1992 Olympic icon Magique's hat, which represents his cuddlyness. He is climbing a Bill Murray tree, which shows his desire to rise/climb above bullshit and pettiness and instead unite all peoples in the spirit of the Olympic games.
His good friend, Bill, is always nearby and is a shinning example of "awesauciness" and "coolitude". Mr. Maurice wears a rainbow belt, similar to both Mr. Chippers and Amik, adorned with a "W" (for Weakland). The belt advertises he is inclusive of the LGTB community AND combined with his hat, shows he is quite fashion forward.

Hamster
Hello, much like Mr.Chippers, I too enjoy pancakes,  and hotcakes, but Silver dollar flappys are my favorite. They give me that jolt of energy I need to compete. Unlike Mr.Chippers you can skip the formalities, just call me Hamster.

Hairy Larry
Meet Hairy Larry, your candidate for the 2014 Lawn Game Olympics. Hairy Larry burns with a ferocious intensity for lawn games. The red of his shirt represents the blood spilled in his quest for lawn game dominance (someone hit him with a bocce ball last year). The purple of his trousers stands for the noble nature of backyard sporting, which he has dubbed the “royal pursuit.” The green of his visor epitomizes the fresh spirit of the yard, which is born anew in the hearts of participants every Olympics. His favorite lawn game is croquet, as he imagines the mallet is his indomitable will and the croquet balls the weak natures of his enemies. To show his fervor for this glorious event, he has tattooed the 2013 logo on his foot. In a display of confidence that he will be your pick for the 2014 Olympics, he got a face tattoo of this year's recently announced logo. Don't allow his facial sacrifice to be in vain. Vote for Hairy Larry, the best choice for the 2014 Lawn Game Olympics mascot.

Design the 2014 Lawn Game Olympics Mascot

We need help designing the mascot for this years Lawn Game Olympics.  This is last year's mascot:

Mr. Chippers
Mr. Chippers is a pancake eating squirrel based on the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics mascot Amik:
Amik

This year's mascot design is completely up to you as long as it is a groundhog. You can use this list of past Olympic mascots as inspiration.

Email a picture of your mascot with his/her name and some information about their character to neilweakland@gmail.com by 6/20/14 to enter the contest.
